About Art Projects for Schools
Art Projects for Schools was set up 11 years ago to provide primary schools throughout the UK with imaginative ways to combine art, education and effective fundraising ideas. A variety of art projects are on offer to engage and encourage children to develop their creative skills from an early age (both visual and thinking). To date we have worked with over 4,000 schools and organisations helping them to raise funds in excess of £1.5 million.
By working collaboratively with teachers, children and parents, APFS develops art programmes that actively engage children and nurture creativity. The programmes give the children the space and opportunity to explore, discover, fathom and experiment with growing confidence and joy. As a result, children and teachers will take on bigger challenges and be prepared to take greater risks in their creative thinking in their search for new solutions throughout their lives. This approach will also benefit the wider community too.
The National Curriculum
We are very proud of the educational value of the projects and we provide techniques that harmonise with National Curriculum and QCA guidelines. APFS also reinvests in art through a number of programmes such as funding research into art education and art bursaries.
The fundraising art projects have been enthusiastically received by thousands of schools and organisations across the country who have shared in the success of the scheme, often repeating projects year after year.
